2. Our Approach
GLP-1 SA aims to use only the cookies that are necessary for the Platform to function, plus limited analytics cookies where you consent. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to work. You cannot opt out of them.
• wordpress_logged_in_[hash] — set by WordPress to keep you logged in after you register and verify your email. Expires when you log out or after 14 days if you selected “Keep me logged in”.
• wordpress_sec_[hash] — a WordPress security cookie used to validate your session.
• PHPSESSID — a standard PHP session cookie that expires when you close your browser.

3.2 Functional cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience.

3.3 Analytics cookies
If you consent, we may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Platform. These are not currently active. If we add analytics (such as a self-hosted Matomo instance or similar privacy-respecting tool), we will update this policy and seek your consent before setting any analytics cookies.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3.4 Third-party cookies — Mailchimp
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you interact with a Mailchimp embed. Mailchimp may set cookies related to form tracking. These are subject to Mailchimp’s own cookie policy. We do not control these cookies.

4. Your Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
• View which cookies are set
• Delete existing cookies
• Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
• Set preferences for specific cookie types (e.g. blocking third-party cookies)

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or staying logged in to the Platform.

5. POPIA and Cookies
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), cookies that collect personal information require your consent. We rely on:
• Legitimate interest — for strictly necessary cookies required to deliver the service you have requested
• Consent — for any analytics or non-essential cookies, which we will seek explicitly before setting

You have the right to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.

6. Cookie Retention
Strictly necessary WordPress session cookies expire when you close your browser or log out. The “logged in” cookie lasts 14 days if you choose “Keep me logged in”. We do not set persistent tracking cookies.

7. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the date of the last update.
